Billabong Bathing Suit

My kids and I absolutely love going to the beach. However, on each trip I seem to always forget something. Once it was the towel, on another occasion I left the kids’ beach ball at home and so on! To ensure that we don’t have such experiences any more, I have compiled a checklist of all that we need to carry to the beach. If you are as absent-minded as I am, make a list of your own or feel free to adopt mine!

Bikini or bathing suit:
The words beach and bikini are synonymous for me. So, my Billabong bathing suit is always the first item on my checklist. After all, what is the point of going to the beach if you are not swimming in the sea or getting a tan?

Beach bag:
Another essential beach basic is an eco-friendly bag to put all your belongings in. The size of the bag would depend on what all you need to carry with you.

Towel:
Preferably carry two towels, a large towel to sit or lie on and a smaller towel to dry yourself.

Cover-up and change of clothes:
Once you are done with swimming and frolicking on the beach, you may want to wear something more than your swimsuit. A cover up will also protect you from sunburns. Change of clothes may also be required if you are not planning to go home directly from the beach.

Flip-flops:
To me, summer flip flops are the ideal beach footwear. They let your feet breathe even while providing a barrier from the hot sand.

Sunscreen and lip balm:
A sunscreen and lip balm with an SPF of at least 15, are an absolute must if you want to get protection from the harmful UV rays.

Sunglasses and sun hat:
The sunglasses will help you look stylish and protect your eyes. The hat will prevent your head from getting too hot thus reducing the chances of sunstroke.

Water:
Carry your water in an eco-friendly stainless steel canteen. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

Beach ball/frisbee:
If you are going to the beach with your kids, you may want to carry your beach ball, frisbee or a trowel and bucket to build a sand castle.
