I really don't know why they manufacture any _other_ shoes than these, and that's the truth. There's nothing to outshine the Birkenstock Boston clog with a newly softened footbed. Ah! Comfort, coolness, and constant comments (of admiration from the ladies and the refined men, of condescension from stupid men). I have owned Bostons in the following colors and materials: black leather; yellow suede; cinnamon-brown suede; gray suede. I have loved them all. Now, if you like sandals, guys, check out the Birkenstock Ramses. It is the #1 coolest thong you'll ever come across. If you're unfamiliar with it, take a look at the women's Gizeh, but picture it with much broader, heavier straps and darker colors that give the whole sandal a more masculine--while (to be perfectly honest) still lightish and sexy--tenor. I constantly get compliments--from women, again--when I wear my Ramses (which are brown leather, BTW). I am thinking of ordering another pair in tan suede: that would certainly be unique for a pair of thongs. Be forewarned, if "warned" is appropriate terminology: the Ramses is _extremely_ light and scant, indeed, the vendor who sold me my first pair commented that most men find it far too naked for comfort. "Too naked for comfort," eh? Isn't the whole purpose of a thong sandal in the nakedness thereof?!

A great manufacturer and the world's leader when it comes to clogs. The reason for my poor review is this particular clog features a heel that is lower than the toe. Granted it's probably designed to help your posture but I couldn't get passed the feeling of falling back out of my shoes. You will also realize how flimsy the leather is on these as well. Sent them back.
