I agree with everything the most positive reviewer said. I'm equally in love with the comfort and function. HOWEVER, they ain't perfect. I have had soles separate with less than 5% bottom wear. I think it's due to my salt water usage. So, I never travel without my handy stitcher. Also, the soles swell when exposed to oil. But redoing the soles is minor. Also, I sew in a plastic D-ring for easier grip to cinch the strap.

The Chaco Zi is the best sandal made. It offers great comfort and support, as well as good looks. I wear them nearly year-round here in New Zealand for casual wear, fly fishing, and light tramping/hiking. I've tried other brands, but now that I've found the best, I stick to them. I own three pair, which indicates that "I put my money where my mouth is". If you haven't tried them, do so. You won't be disappointed.F. De VoreChaco Men's Z1 Sandal
