THE HAT WAS WHAT I HAD EXPECTED BUT IT WAS TOO LARGE. IF ONE WEARS A 7 1/4 SIZE IT SHOULD NOT SIT DOWN ON ONES EARS. L/LG ISN'T AN APPROPRIATE INDICATION FOR 7 1/4 SIZE.THE HAT WAS 19.19,SHIPPING 7.25, RETURN SHIPPING 11.00.NOT AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIANCE.HAD THE SAME EXPERIANCE WITH TOPGEAR OUTFITTERS. STILL WAITING FOR REQUESTED RETURN LABEL AND/OR ANSWER. AGAIN, BAD EXPERIANCE.

The picture makes it look taller than it really is, other sites have different pics that show it. I really like this hat, I wear it to keep cool outdoors, and when playing poker/drinking. I always get comments on it. There's an elastic band that makes it secure yet comfortable for hours on end.Most hats don't fit me, and this one does (and some of my large-headed friends), plus it's really good looking. There's fabric underneath the brim that keeps the sun away, open in the vertical area, and more cloth on the crown to reflect the sun.
