I bought these boots since a friend has the same pair and I was looking for a nice weathered looking leather (Bay Apache) that absolutely had a leather sole so the boot can be repaired in the future. Still breaking the boots in, but I know the leather will become nice and soft. Should last for many years to come.In terms of style, these are a kind of subtle boot since if you are wearing jeans, they just kind of look like leather shoes which was the look I was going for.I have seen higher quality boots, but they tend to cost a few hundred dollars. For daily wear, this pair is great.
