The wedge that started it all

If you love wearing platform sandals or wedges, and haven’t heard of the brand Kork Ease, then you need to take a class called wedges 101. In this class they will teach you that Kork Ease is the company that actually created the platform sandal, the one that started it all! You can figure out the rest: since their shoes were so fashionable and yet extremely comfortable at the same time everyone started making their own imitations. Over 50 years later here we are.
Proof that Kork Ease started it all with their wedges? The original one is currently in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Landmark Shoe Collection. A collection that only has 25 shoes total in it. During the 70′s they were a huge hit and were being worn everywhere. To this day wedges are still very popular and Kork Ease has come out with many new styles to choose from.
Kork Ease sets themselves apart from other imitators by making their wedges of the utmost quality. Kork Ease uses Vachetta leather which is biodegradable and environmentally safe. It is untreated and unfinished so no harsh chemicals are used. The leather has a one of a kind look that can’t be matched by the competition. The leather is made in Tuscany, Italy and is naturally tanned by the spring water there. No other water can give the leather the perfect color and texture like the Tuscan water can.
The comfort of these shoes is also unmatched by competitors. The way they are designed and the materials used makes for the most comfortable wedge possible.
