I bought this bag for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. He has a 17in laptop and I had a hard time finding a bag it would fit in. He likes this one cause its very compact. He can carry his laptop and few small things.

As a heavy traveling laptop user, I have moved from the leather business bag, then backpack style, then sleeve, now I ordered this slim design laptop case. Case logic doesn't let me down with their quality and the design is always good if not better, but not loud. My HP Pavilion 17inch laptop sits in there with about 1 inch room at the top and the side and comes with the flat pocket inside(if you have an older adaptor, this will be slightly tight, mine is 2 by 5 inch small one). The lining color is apple green or lime, and it covers both inside pocket zipper and outer zipper to prevent scratches, which is a nice consideration. It is not a thick padded foam like many laptop sleeves but it will protect the computer for all normal situations. i have not tested if it is water-resistant though yet. The handles can disappear into the top openings on both sides where you can find the CD holder, which I find a bit silly as the stitches can easily scratch CD-Rs. And, the shoulder strap has anti-slip coating(rubbery) on the bottom side, and the plastic hooks swivel. However, the nylon grips that hold the strap loops are stitched into the piping edge without any rivet reinforcement, And, that is going to kill the bag after a couple of years of traveling, or, I should be extra careful not to swing the bag. In all, this product finds its niche market as I don't want to carry a bulky back pack sometimes, or carry a sleeve that has no handles. It is not made as a overnight bag for sure but light and compact enough for a day trip. Design is good for both casual or business attires. So, I give 4.5 instead of 5, with the stitched nylon strap grip issue.

Cons: I purchased a 17" Inspiron and the fit is so tight I can barely get the notebook in let alone fit the mouse and power pack in the case. I am returning this case and purchasing another one. It appears the quality is good but I haven't had it long enough to judge long term reliability. I'm sure it would be a much better fit for a 15" but still wouldn't accommodate other items well. Also, there is only about a $12 difference compared to the leather one I am purchasing; and that one has a lot more storage.
