I bought this jacket from a local retailer and tried it out for a hike during a rainstorm. It functions excellently as a breathable, waterproof shell, although the welding on the pit zippers makes them a bit tough to open and close. The biggest issue I had with the jacket was how thin the material is; I felt like I was wearing rice paper. I had no confidence to wear it bushwhacking or going into anything other than open areas. I felt like the lightest brush against a tree limb or thorny vine would rip it. If you want the lightest, most packable rain shell, and money is no object, then by all means, this is for you. I returned mine to the local retailer.
