I have a wide, size 12 foot. Most men's socks that you buy at retail store come in packs that say something like, "Fits Sizes 9-12." As anyone with larger feet knows, there is no such thing as a sock that fits size 9-12. After a washing or two these are size 9 or 10 socks at best. They do not fit a size 12. This is especially true with ankle-high athletic socks. I recently purchased some major name-brand "size 9-12" ankle socks. I could barely pull them over my heel. I gave two packs of them to charity... I can't wear them. These socks come in actual size categories. Not some generic - one size fits most - size. The X-Large fits my large feet very well, even after a couple of washing. They are very comfortable socks and seem to be high quality. The price is reasonable. The department store socks are cheaper, but I don't have to try to cram my feet into these. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
