I found this in gray/brown and it was the best athletic shoe I have ever had (and I am 67!)I decided to buy the same model in more colors. That's when I discovered you can have the same brand and the same model but you don't have the same shoe. The shoe laces on this model are much shorter, the workmanship is poorer (I had to cut of all the scratchy nylon lining and threads inside), and the materials are very different. My guess is that New Balance uses a different factory in China for each color combination and the standards are not the same. The gray/brown remains the best athletic shoe I have ever owned.

I have been very pleased with my New Balance Women's WR 790 shoes. I wear a size 12B, and finding shoes in this size is not easy. In addition, I have a narrow heal and bunions and hammertoes, and my feet are very sensitive, so a lot of size 12's don't work for me. These shoes fit me very well, and are very comfortable. The only negative is that they do not have enough cushion and support for my feet, but I added an insole made for sensitive feet, and that has solved that problem. It would have been helpful to me if the shoe last (SL 1, SL 2, etc.) had been listed on the site, since certain ones work better for me than others, but this time, I lucked out! They happened to be RL-3, which is one of the shoe lasts that I can wear. Overall, I had a very good experience, and will be a return customer!
