I bought this for my girlfriend who is a flight attendant. She had problems in the past with her luggage so we decided to invest in a slightly nicer brand w/ a great reputation amongst her coworkers. On her very first trip with it, the extension handle got stuck in the mostly down position b/c the parts broke inside one of the tubes. After calling customer service to ensure we could just take it to a local Travelpro dealer for service, we took it in on a Friday and was told they would have the parts by Monday. After calling on Tuesday and being told the part should arrive soon but it was uncertain b/c it was such a new bag. Since she wasn't traveling until the next Friday we figured it was plenty of time. When I checked on Thursday the store clerk informed me it could be weeks before the part shows up and they had to lend us an old bag for her upcoming trip. The overall feel of the bag and its features are fairly nice compared to the other bags we've tried but obviously its a false sense of quality given how quickly it failed and how slow the process has been in getting the bag repaired. The Wenger I got her before cost only half as much but lasted 6+ months before a wheel failed and they promptly mailed us a replacement. The replacement's extension handle failed after another 6 months but I decided against getting it replaced since I didn't have any receipts for the replacement and I didn't want her to have to go through it every 6 months.

Bought this bag for my husband who travels every single week! He needed a quality bag with a wardrobe section for his suits/shirts. This bag met all of our expectations! It's great- the quality is great- we are very pleased with our purchase! Why go spend $500+ on a TUMI when you can get this bag for $300+! I feel we got a great deal on this bag and we are very pleased! You will be too!
